SHIBORI WORKSHOP WITH JUSTINE BENNETT (CANADA)
Shibori is a Japanese dying technique that starts by folding, twisting or bunching white fabric, binding it and then dying it in indigo. Indigo is a dark blue dye which is made from the indigo plant. The result is a beautiful deep blue and white fabric with an almost watercolor effect. Justine will guide you through the folding and dying process and you will go home with 2 beautiful Shibori tea towels!

Inspired by the work of Susanna Barkataki and her yoga summit “Honor (Don’t Appropriate) Yoga,” TRISHES, a guest speaker at the summit, summarizes key ideas pertaining to representation and appropriation in the yoga world.

Elvira Furnari holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from UMASS Boston and a certificate as an Integrative Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York. Since receiving her certificate she worked at the corporate food industry, Delhaize Serbia, where she gave many presentations on a topic of Healthy Eating for employees as well as coached one-on-one many colleagues by providing written material and healthy eating tips during work hours and beyond. Apart from regular Healthy Eating presentations, created new recipes, held healthy cooking workshops personally showing and demonstrating quick and easy meal to prepare at home and make a meal for days ahead.
